Rutilated Quartz Onyx Sterling 14KY Pendant by Rebecca Paquette of BNOX
The pendant features cast natural elements. A small sterling maple bud from the village of Pepin was used to create the bail. Below that is a sterling North Carolina Pod. A 4mm onyx cab, and a 18mm long x 11mm wide rutilated quartz shield shape protects the bottom and protects the heart. Overall, it is a neutral piece as the rutilated quartz has a array of gold colored rutile within. Sun or light on the rutile illuminates the magnificent specimen that this rutile is. It appears that the rutile needles are self lit.
The 2 3/4" length is a dramatic plunge down the neckline of the wearer. Each of the four elements have a loose connection to the next adding gnetle movement.
The North Carolina pod is just that, a pod picked out from a sidewalk crack while on a pleasant vacation with friends.
A nature goddess will find this piece suitable for everyday wear, for the occasional drum circle or holiday parties. Though office suits seem to be a thing of the past since Covid, this would still be a handsome piece to add a touch of artwork to your formal ware (or the yoga pants- let's get real).
This rutile pendant comes on an 24" oxidized sterling 3 mm textured oval cable chain. Because of the large oval link, it is adjustable at any length.
This is a "one of kind" by Rebecca A Paquette Johnson of Pepin, Wisconsin.
