Pietersite Zircon Diamond Sterling 14KY Pendant by Lori Braun PT954 $920
Is the pietersite black or blue or just such a deep shade of blue, is appears black in areas? This celestial specimen of pietersite is as mesmerizing as a NASA deep space photograph. Silvery blue gray appear to move and intersect with other clouds of platinum and black/navy. It's simply spectacular.
Reminiscent of deep blue satin material silkiness, the chatoyancy of reflected light ripples throughout, making it, quite honestly, difficult to photograph. Like opal, the the light undulates across the pietersite. The striking iridescent is comparable to the northern lights disappearing, then reappearing again with the subtle movement of the pendant.
Lori Braun's pendant is a soft square shape and offset with a diamond and zircon. They are lovely companions for this pietersite.
The pietersite lays on a background of textured sterling. Both are framed by 14KY bezel. She has created a bold piece that is wearable, versatile and stunning, with its deep black/blue/silver components. As usual, Lori Braun's craftsmanship is impeccable.
