This textural, two tone, boulder opal pendant is quite versatile. Additionally, it's medium scale makes it easy to wear.
This Boulder Opal appears to be a section of earth as seen from the space shuttle. Primarily, it swirls with earthen aqua blues and a few sneaky shadows of a muted raspberry pink. The bronze and nutmeg browns are the natural "mother stone or matrix" from which the opal was mined. The variety of opal colors and appearances from the Australian Dowdy Mine are surprisingly broad. Choosing a small selection of opals from Joanne and Kevin Dowdy is wildly challenging and takes me forever to whittle it down from the $10000000.00 that I'd prefer to spend.
