This Garnet, Sterling and 14KY ring by Lori Braun has classic beauty. Lori's matt finished sterling band lays beneath a narrow textured 14KY band. They intersect at the square faceted garnet, which is set as a diamond on the ring.
Looking down, this design is like a fancy bow tie on a sharp tailored shirt. Stamped texture contrasts a silky matt finished sterling band and symmetrically, with geometry, hold the garnet. At this tapering intersection, a bright beautifully cut garnet sits. The overall feel of Lori Braun's design is substantial on the hand without being immense. It is neither too wide nor too thin... it's just right. This ring has simple elegance, and clearly an artist created design.
The faceted Mozambique garnet is 6mm x 6mm. The 14KY band is approximately 1mm thick. The sterling band it lays upon is at the narrow top at the garnet intersection is 4.5mm. The under portion of the band is 6.7mm. Overall height of bezel of garnet is 6mm.
