Goddess Church Windows is a newer series born out of the wishful curiosity and visualization of the Goddesses (all new to me) of the world showing up in church windows that I have access to here in the Midwestern America.  What if divine feminine were as common place of a reference to our existence as the divine masculine?  What if?

As church windows are, this window pendant also, can be viewed from either side.  It has no front and can be easily worn with either side forward.

Gemology.com notes that "gem silica is a bluish green to greenish blue variety of chalcedony that receives its vivid color from the presence of  copper.  It is often known as "chrysocolla chalcedony" or "gem silica chrysocolla", and is the most valuable variety of chalcedony.  The Miami-Inspiration Mine in Arizona is the best recent source of high-quality gem silica. The Keystone Copper Mine in Arizona produced notable amounts of gem silica in the early 1900s."

Gem Silica appears more green than it is in the photos.  There are small pockets of druzy quartz throughout.  The gem silica varies in shades of greenish aqua with the lightest most aqua area at the bottom.

The maple tree bud was picked from a tree in Rebecca's neighborhood in Pepin, Wisconsin.

Length 1  1/8" x width 1/2" x depth 1/4"

Measurements and weight are approximate.  Color and luster in the photos are captured as close as possible, but will vary slightly from the actual piece of jewelry.

This is a "one of a kind" created by Rebecca Paquette Johnson, owner of BNOX in Pepin, Wisconsin.
