Fossilized Coral Hessonite Garnet Sterling 14KY Pendant by Lori Braun $1090 #PT900
Lori Braun's fascination with fossilized coral is evident as she often comes home from a jewelry show with a few beauties in hand. The patterns and body color of fossil coral is quite distinct. Most agatized fossil coral exhibits a dull to waxy luster. Ancient coral patterns, most often appearing in flower shapes, cover the entire surface of each cut stone. When fossilized coral is cut and polished in cross sections, the result is a monochromatic kaleidoscope.
The color of this coral has an earthen caramel color. The strongest caramel gold color appears in the center of the radiating flower petal shapes. It's light patterned qualities would contrast beautifully against a medium or dark top. Depending on your personal style, Lori's pendant could go casual or dressy as well.
A 3/4" textured arc lays upon and contrasts the high polished 14KY bezel hugging the fossilized coral triangular cab. A 5.5mm hessonite garnet cabochon accentuates the earthy gold of the fossilized coral below.
