This quite unusual triangular Botryoidal Hematite from Morocco inspired a pendant with elements of wind and water. Topped with a sail shape, Rebecca has added a cast sterling maple branch that fortifies and enhances the bail. Meticulous cut-out curls inspired by scenes of sailboats driven by Lake Pepin's wind, bluffs and water, fissure it's surfaces.
The unusual formation of the hematite caught Rebecca's eye, and in it's setting of diverse texture and abstract detail, will also attract like attention. Admirers will have many questions at a closer glance. The back side is an unexpected visual treasure.
Though this is certainly an "art piece" of jewelry, the steely gray does make Rebecca's creation versatile.
