This Cornflower Blue, Baguette cut Sapphire is set in a14KY bezel. It is the crown on the 14KY found object, an actual North Carolina pod cast in 14KY. A few details of 14K Rose gold embellish the sterling ring encircling the sapphire. Blue of the sapphire is a crisp med blue with a hint of purple. Some might guess it is a tanzanite.
The North Carolina pod is just that, a pod picked out from a sidewalk crack while on a pleasant vacation with friends.
The silver ring, the face of the bail, is kinetic. It is most noticeable while worn, as the 14KY Rose bead rocks back and forth.
A nature goddess will find this piece suitable for everyday wear, for the occasional drum circle or holiday parties. Though office suits seem to be a thing of the past since Covid, this would still be a handsome piece to add a touch of artwork to your formal ware. The mixed metal and touch of cornflower blue is an easy compliment to brights and neutrals.
